Wedding Ceremony Spot has been found. Woooh!

I'm really excited today as we have booked and paid for our wedding ceremony spot for next year!! I thought finding a spot would be a long process as i am quite fussy and we didn't really have a set location in mind to get married so there was a lot to chose from.
I somehow stumbled across this chapel on the Internet and thought yep that's it, the minute I saw it. So we went and visited the area and checked it out and i fell in love with it straight away. It's got a massive glass front area so it was very light and airy. The lady showed me the "Royal Wedding Buggy which i will be transported to the chapel in hehe. Its a Rolls Royce Golf Cart lol. Here are some pictures that i found on the Internet ( BTW It's not me in the wedding dress obviously  ;)
Even though the wedding is not until next year I'm already so excited, I think that I will be a fairly easy going bride. I guess the next step is to start looking for save the date ideas.. I'll keep you updated if you are interested.

Vani-T Colour Crystals- Krush Minerals Eye Pigment

I brought two new eyeshadows from Vani-T, they are called Krush Minerals and the colours I got are called "Travel to Mercury" which is a lovely apricot/orange/bronze/shimmer/pearl pigment, and "Athena" which is  a shimmery brown pigment, (3 grams). They are all made from 100% pure minerals and are an Australian Company.
I love the packaging on these guys- it's a little acrylic cube with a twist top lid and holographic stickers on the sides for some bling factor.
The colours are very rich and pigmented and look great when used with a wet brush for a more vibrant colour.
They retail for $30 at - http://www.vani-t.com/Products/MINERALCOSMETICS.aspx

Hello Gorgeous Skin! - Jurlique Intense Recovery Mask

Us Aussies are coming into the cooler months of the year and boy is my skin feeling it! As explained in my previous skin care routine post, I have very sensitive/ dry/ skin that hates winter. Today i woke up and my skin was red, dry, itchy, my lips were dry and tight. Aaargh (I thought your body was meant to rejuvenate itself while getting beauty sleep lol). Lucky I have the day off so nobody can see me hehe.
I decided to leave the housework and give myself a DIY facial as i haven't been very good lately with my skin care routine.. tsk tsk!!
To start I cleansed my face in Dermalogica pre -cleanse oil and then exfoliated with Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant which left my skin feeling squeaky clean. But as you can see from the below pics (Don't judge the no make- up ;) my skin was still red and dry. I decided to give Jurlique Intense Recovery Mask a go. I got this is last months Glossy Box so it's a sample size. This claims to "clarify and revitalise the skinleaving skin smooth, glowing, and refreshed".
The mask is green in colour and with ingredients like safflower, avocado, Kaolin Clay, lavender, marshmallow, evening primrose, & carrot you could imagine the smell..(reminds me of a fancy day spa).

I applied a thin layer all over my face, it was very cooling and i hadn't even stored it in the fridge. It instantly felt soothing on my hot skin. I left it on for 10 minutes according to the directions and relaxed as the mask tightened and set. I then used warm cotton buds to remove.
I was amazed that the redness in my skin had instantly gone and i didn't have any reaction to the ingredients, my skin still feels lovely and baby soft, (I wish you guys could put your hand through the computer screen and feel the difference ;)
I will be buying the full size version of this product, I am quite happy with the ingedient list too with majority being natural.
The full size version 40ml is $55- http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/jurlique/jurlique-intense-recovery-mask.html

*Bling Alert!* Sally Hansen Gem Crush Polish -Big Money

So I was walking through Target the other day trying to find something for my darling mother for mothers day, and what do you think i walked out with?? No it wasn't a pink fluffy pair of slippers, or a dressing gown. It was Sally Hansens Gem Crush nail polish in Big Money..For myself.... (I did eventually remember that I was shopping for her not me and found some motherly gifts ;)
As you would know by now I love my bling and this shade is absolutely perfect! It is initially a bronzey colour but it has big flecks of soft purple in it that really work well together! I think it looks really elegant and would look great as an accent nail over a lighter polish. They surely didn't skimp on the glitter factor in this polish and for that reason I'm in love!
In the pics below I have on 2 coats, it needs a top coat over it as it feels a bit scratchy otherwise. I would compare the formula to China Glaze Prismatic polishes.
There are several other colours that I want want want but don't need (this is out of my other half's mouth not mine).. so ill wait until a sale to purchase more.
I got this one at Target for $10 which i thought was pretty good value.
Have you tried these? What are your thoughts??

P.S Happy Mothers day to all the mums out there. I took my mum to see the Book of Shadows, it was a bit strange but what do you expect from a Tim Burton film. I loved Johhny Depp in it though :)

Thicker,Longer Lashes.. Yes please! -Model Co Fibre Lash

Lash fibres seem to be the latest craze at the moment, who doesn't want longer, thicker, luscious flutters??
Well I do, which lead me to try out Model Co Fibre Lash. -"False lashes in a bottle".
This is a double ended Mascara tube, one end contains the mascara and one end contains the fibres.
You basically apply a coat of the mascara and while still wet apply some of the fibres to the ends of your lashes for length or apply closer to the roots to fatten them up ;)Then you apply another coat of mascara on top to cover the fibres as they are white in colour. Keep repeating this process until the desired length is achieved.

I have tried the Black Magic fibres, which is a single tube of fibres and you have to purchase the mascara separately. Those fibres when pulled out of the tube went everywhere and you ended up with more on the floor then on your lashes. But the Model Co ones seem to stay on  the wand and not fall off into your eye or floor.

I don't think the mascara is anything special on it's own, the colour is average, the brush is nothing special, and the mascara product itself doesn't do any miracles.. I wouldn't purchase it. But when the fibres are added I can see a big difference.
I have quite long lashes to begin with but they are very thin! Boooo!! I didn't notice a big difference in the thickness but am very happy with the length they give. The fibres don't show up at all and are not clumpy so the finished results just look like my natural lashes.
In the pics below i have only done one eye in the fibres and one in the normal mascara. It's a bit hard to tell but in real life one is much more noticeable.
I think this is a great alternative to lash extensions or false lashes as they can be fiddly sometimes whereas this product is quite quick and easy enough to apply.
If you live in Australia this full size product is available in the latest Cosmo Magazine. Otherwise follow the link  to the Model Co website where it can be purchased for $39 which includes an eye liner.

What do you think of Lash fibres? Have you tried any? I would love to know your thoughts ... Nicole :)

NOTD- OPI Play the Peonies

This is a beautiful sheer Pearl pink colour. If you want to build up the colour then best to use 2 coats, this colour looks really pretty over a french manicure with a stark white. It's applies very evenly and no streaks! This would look stunning on a bride at her wedding! I love the thick brushes on the OPI bottles, makes it so much easier to apply!

Urban Decay - Grind eyeshadow review

I found this eye shadow in my make up drawer and realised i had never used it! So I thought I would wear it to work the other day. It is a lovely soft pink colour with big silver glitter bits throughout. It has a nice consistency and is pigment rich, especially when used with a primer underneath.
I love the packaging, it's like an old token or coin.  :)

I used NYX milk jumbo pencil as a base for the glitters to stick too, then applied the Grind shadow to my entire lid. In the crease and lower lash line I used Smashbox bronze shadow and then tight lined my upper lashes with a wet black shadow. Add a few coats of Mac Zoom lash mascara and voila!!
I think this is a nice colour that you could wear out clubbing by smoking it out with blacks, or add a bit of sparkle to your work day like I did.
Has any one tried the new Urban Decay shadows? I would love to know if they are worth getting.
 Nicole :)

NSI- "Meet me at the Abbey" gel polish

Yesterday in between clients at work I had a quick gap and decided to use our NSI gel pro polish to paint my nails. I chose the colour "Meet me at the Abbey" which is a beautiful hot Barbie pink colour. The NSI gel polishes are pretty much the same concept as Shellac so they claim not to chip or smudge for 3 weeks.
The basic way of applying this gel colour is to buff the natural oils from your nails, and push back cuticles, then you apply dehydrator this gets rid of any oils left in your nails. You then apply the base coat that comes with the kit, the cure your nails under the UV lamp. The you apply the colour, this is the tricky part, you need to do it very thin not like normal polish- the thinner the better. Then cure again. You then apply another thin coat of colour and cure again. Then you would apply the top coat and cure again lol. After that you wipe the sticky residue off your nails and they are instantly set rock hard with a beautiful shine. I looove them!! This is day 2 and they still look shiny and no chips yet.. I'll keep you informed how long they actually stay nice for. What's your favourite gel polish colour? :)
